I am thinking of switiching from sprint to verizon. I am looking for
experiences others who have made the switch. How painful was switching
from sprint to verizon and keep same number?

What are good phone from verizon? I am looking for phone with good
voice quality I do not care about bells & whistles (like camera, etc).

Thanks.

Took Verizon 4 days to complete my switch from Sprint to Verizon.  But it
did work when done, and they gave me a $25 credit for the wait.
Verizon, for me, is so far superior to Sprint, that the 4 days was worth the
wait!
I went with the LG VX-4400B which is a tri-mode phone.  On the Americas
Choice plan it allows switching to analog on the 800 MHz band, which a lot
of rural areas still use.  So long as Verizon has an inter-carrier
arrangement, there is usually little chance that this phone will ever roam
in the US.  No camera, not a lot of bells and whistles.  But the voice
dialing is great.

Welcome Aboard!  I swapped from Sprint to Verizon a few months back
(LG4400), and haven't looked back.  Sprint was great on the interstates, but
didn't work in my home (in the middle of a city), nor far off the
interstates.

The V60 line by far is the best with no bells and whistles. Also, awesome
sound quality with headset or not. Unlike the toys out there now, they all
sound cheap and echoey.

Motorola V60s or Nokia 3589i.
