I have the LG VX4400B
Can I use the same Date Cable and sync software for the 4400 on the 4400B.
Can I just purchase the cable and get the software online somewhere.

Yes, the 4400 and 4400B are the same except for the color.

You should only get the original OEM LG cable; read
http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ to see why. Since you're getting the
OEM cable, it typically comes with the software. I paid $16 on E-bay
for the Mobile Office Kit. It contains the useless to me data software
for using the phone as a modem for the laptop. And it also contains a
CD with PC Sync that allows for some basic address book import from
Outlook and Palm Desktop. If that's all you need, great! If not,
there's a commercial software called DataPilot, I believe, that can do
more.

But I'm happy with the PC Sync for the phone book synchronization and
free Bitpim (see link above) for downloading ringtones and wallpapers
into the phone.

If you just find a cable somewhere without PC Sync, I can probably
e-mail it to you.

I've got the 4400B and got a cable at Radio Shack ..  The software I got from
www. bitpim.com
