Home is SID 2, why does roam indicator appear in SID 4?

I'm on the local plan here in OC (SID 2). I get a solid roam indicator
when my serving system is SID 4 (VZW in Sandy Eggo). Why would this
happen? Phone is a 4400.

Screwed-up PRL maybe? Try *228 to get the latest PRL.

You could be in an area of OC that will pick a San Diego Signal. Happens to
me in San Diego sometimes. Mostly when I'm on the PB pier. I will pick up a
SID 2 signal there.
