LG VX3200 - end button on headset?

On my wife's 4400, the headset "end" button is not functional.  It
can't be made to work, as far as I know.

Does anyone know if the new 3200 has the same design problem?  (it's
ridiculous to require a user to open a closed clamshell and press the
"end" button to finish a call when driving and using a headset. This
really annoys me, and I would never buy another phone with this
problem).

Same on the LG6000. It would be a deal breaker for me too.

Generally, an "END" button on a headset is proprietary to the model of
phone, even though the phone accepts a generic headset.

I don't know about the LG phones, but with the Motorola phones, you can
set the phone to auto-answer if the headset is plugged in.  The phone
rings once, then connects.  And in any case the phone automatically
ends the call when the other party hangs up (whether using the headset
or not). The only time you have to manually hit the "end" button when
using the headset is to hang up on the other number (like a call to a
VM system).

Your are a fortunate man indeed and without strife, pain or suffering in
your life is this the kind of thing that moves you to righteous
indignation;-)

My congratulations, sir.

Daniel, granted - I am blessed.  However, do you happen to know the
answer to my question?

I have one of the 3200's at the store right now.  I will grab it tomorrow
and check it out.  I should be able to post results about 2:00pm CST.

PS  my Audiovox 9500 works with any "buttoned" headset.  Answers incomming,
hangs up, and even will activate VAD if its open or closed......I love this
phone.
