Using the LG vx400 for faxing from a laptop?

I have heard about people using their LG4400 with their laptop to send
a fax. I have sucessfully setup my 44000 to work as a modem for
internet access. I used the instructions in the following FAQ

However when directing the windows fax interface to use this modem
setup to send a fax, it does not work.

Has anyone been able to send a fax?
If so, how specifially did you set it up. Thanks
