Any thoughts on a new LG VX10 phone that seems to want to bounce back and
forth between digital and analog while my wife's older Audiovox 9000 stays
in digital?  We live in Grand Rapids MI which has been digital for some
time.
I called tech support and they want to load an older version of the PRL.

I can't even make a call when my phone's in Analog.

I had two VX1s last summer (supposedly same hardware as VX10 but fewer
software features) and it bounced between digital and analog frequently in
fringe areas. The V60i I replaced them with and didn't have such problems.
Now I have a VX6000, which also does a better job of holding a signal in
fringe areas than the VX1s did. Not to mention that the VX1s both crashed
repeatedly during my 15 days with each one, requiring removal of the
battery to reset them, while the V60i and VX6000 have not.

If you're within your 15 days, maybe consider swapping it for another phone
and see if you still have problems.
