everytime i get a call or a message it reboots the phone. happens all the
time untul i take the battery out. i went to get it flashed this last
friday... the tech guy says well you will still get dropped calls but not as
many... i was walking out and the phone rebooted and he said sometimes you
will have to take the battery out. There is one hour of my timef or them to
flash it. Now i have to go back again and get an exchange. hopefully they
wont want to flash it again and just swap one out for me with version two.
It also reboots in a middle of a call or says that it is calling someone but
just hangs there. Anyone experience this? i love the phones features and the
speakerphone. But this is getting crazy. my doctor has the same phone and
while i was talking to him his rebooted and went to a purple screen.

I had my 4500 flashed with 2. While it was on the machine to flash
it, I asked the rep to pull out the sheet with the details of the
flash...It stated only problem fixed in 2 was something to do with the
scheduler....Nothing to do with dropped calls or anything else...

Unfortunately that is a common problem with software upgrades. They tend to
minimize the details on external documents. So it might say if fixes problem
"A" but it also fixes "M", "V" and enhances "G".

i just got back from verizon again. they agreed that flashing the phone
screwed it up and gave me a new one, i am assuming it is a refurbished one.
they told me to come back in 40 minutes to get it ready. They said for all
the paperwork they had to do on it. the last time i switched my gf's out for
warranty they just took the old one and got a new one from the back.

Version 2 also fixed the volume setting during a call.

I had mine upgraded to v2 and have had no problems at all. Try
getting a replacement.

Same here. I had mine upgraded to 2 and had no problems. I was hoping that
ver 2 will fix the incoming announcement to come in the headset speaker
instead of the speaker phone. But it didn't.
