I'm thinking of upgrading to a VX6000. I would like some feed back on this
phone.
Ok...
I had the T720, loved it for about a week. Voice quality was fantastic, and
I got excellent coverage. But I didn't like the laggy menus and some
software issues that came with the phone.
So, I upgraded to the VX6000. I think its an excellent looking phone with
great menus and fantastic features. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give the
T720 sound quality an 8 and the VX6000's a 7. Since its a digital only
phone, it will not work in analog areas. Now, personally I never used my
T720 in analog areas, however I've noticed that in even all digital area,
the VX still has some trouble getting a signal. I've never experienced a
single dropped call with my T720, but I get them all the time with the VX,
even in all digital coverage.
Bottom line, the VX6000 is a great phone with a shitload of really cool
features, and a great interface, however its a phone second only to its
color screen and photograph taking ability (in which the photo's resolution
is bad anyways). Personally, I'm going to hang on to it, but I bought a V60
off of somebody on Ebay and I'm going to use that for a bit. I need
something that's main purpose is being a "phone".

I've had this phone for about 2 weeks and it's the first flip I've
owned. The menus have been simple to navigate, and the contact
management is extremely nice. You can store multiple numbers for one
contact name(home, cell, work, email etc.), this provides nice
organization. Editing the contacts is a snap as well. The 2.5mm earphone
jack requires a specific type of jack configuration(the sales guy calls
is a 2 band versus a 3). These are easily found by a variety of
manufactorers, but my old Nokia one wouldn't work. On a good note, the
flip phone can be closed without hanging up the call when the headset is
plugged in. The camera feature is toyish in my view. The reception,
sound quality and nice large number display is great. I do a lot of
talking while driving. I am a bit leary of it being a "digital" only
phone as I do a lot of travel into my Colorado mountains. So far my
coverage from Denver to Breckenridge has been superb but I'm wondering
what will happen if I get off the highway too far? Will I miss not
having analog reception as a backup?
