While it may not be in the category of a
lead balloon, it's price is too high to
allow it to be a good seller, IMHOP.
Concur with your evaluation. Regards

Perhaps you got a defective one. Go back and swap it out with another.
I have been reading nothing but postive posts on phonescoop.com and
howardforums.com. I do agree with you on the price. My contract
expires on Dec 30. Hopefully they will have lowered the price by that
time.

I see it at the VZW website for $249.99.

That's if all is perfect timing wise on contract term and includes every
possible discount and the $70 rebate. I bought mine for retail $419 at
Verizon store rather than enter into higher $$ contract than I had and so
forth. Never the Less ( and hoping to get $70 rebate honored ) am very happy
with phone even if I had to go retail.

The price breakdown is
Full Price: $419 ($349 after rebate)
1 year: ???
2 year: $319 ($249 after rebate)
New every 2: $219 (requires a two year contract) ($149 after rebate)
In order to get the 1-year or 2-year prices, you must be within two
months before the end of your current contract, or have completed the
contract. However, a salesperson at a VZW store told me that they have
leeway to extend that price up to four or five months before the end of
the contract.
In order to get the New Every Two $100 credit, you must be within two
months before the end of a two-year contract or have completed the
contract, and you must sign another two-year contract. The two-month
provision cannot be waived. Both plans must be $34.99 or more to
qualify; this is the base price of the plan, excluding any extra
minutes, family plan fees, taxes, etc.

Have to learn that phone must be held just a bit lower on ear than it feels
like it should be held then booms.

I guess if you take hundreds of photo's aday that could get tiring. For the
amount of photo's most would do I don't think that slightly angling the
camera will give anyone a sports injury. My presumption that the camera and
ear speaker placement was trade off on design and inclusion of various other
abilities of phone.

Not of you have your settings correct, play some more. I do wish that they
had allowed for leaving lighting on when shell opened period instead of only
timing sets.

Agree with you

I needed BT for pairing with cars HFree system, that works very well
although I am hopeful that a future firmware upgrade will enhance data
sending to include signal and batt strength to HF system.

I paid retail and still very happy with it! Coming off low end phone so this
is real difference to what I had past year and a half. Plus rivals StarTac
in feel and size and I miss my old StarTac.

NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Earpice volume on mine was too low anywhere I placed it.
It is a known bug. My T-720 was twice as loud and that phone is not as loud
as it should be. And you are wrong about the outside display...it DOES turn
off completely after a short time. It is blank as can be then. Not just
the backlight. And for the camera, it is not acceptable either. For the
price of this phone, $419.00 in my case, it should just plain not be off
kilter. There is no excuse for this poor workmanship. And the crippled
Bluetooth is another that should not happen.
I took it back and got a refund. It is not ready for prime time. Verizon
blew it on this phone. After the long wait from FCC approval until release,
they should have fixed all the bugs..not sent them out for us to beta.
I may still buy a new StarTac...I saw some advertised brand new in box.
Still the best phone out there.
