Andrew - 20 Aug 2004 02:34 GMT Any news as to when the v810 will be released? Phonescoop says September.
tigercat - 20 Aug 2004 03:15 GMT looks like your right, this is coming out next month, and they've cleared some key space up by removing the picture button and changing the position of the clear button. this enables them to make a larger navigational button then on the 710, which will be convenient.

Phonescoop says September. Jesse Gelber - 20 Aug 2004 23:15 GMT Among a few other things it looks like the 810 lacks a speakerphone, and Bluetooth. Funny that it mentions it as "Motorola's first CDMA camera phone for the Americas." Looks a little smaller too.

Renato Wisocki Junior - 27 Aug 2004 19:47 GMT There is speakerphone feature on v810. by the way, I bought one 6 months ago in Brazil. the bad side is: the phone DONT have: *alarm function, just a very poor scheduler's alert which don't wake anyone. *pictures, rings, games cable transmittion, you'll have to pay a lot to transfer trought the service provider. *1xRTT technology: very expencive on Brazil. almost US$ 2,00 by picture. * DONT HAVE JAVA. only brew (poor) * battery dont take's long. * no BlueTooth * only pictures, dont shoot movies. buy an v878 instead. http://sg.motorola.com/pcs/v878/sg/motogear.ASP

Steven J Sobol - 21 Aug 2004 02:27 GMT > with love: t-h-a-n. People who post spelling corrections, especially those who FOLLOW UP to a post that is otherwise not a bad post with a ONE LINER ONLY CONTAINING A SPELLING CORRECTION, really suck. Do you find your life now has more meaning because you were able to correct one person's stupid spelling error?
grrr. $*(#@$*@#(! webtv users. :P

I cringe every time I see it, simply because it is so common, and is undeniably incorrect. The two words are not interchangeable.

Gregg Hill - 21 Aug 2004 05:32 GMT How about the prolific use of apostrophes to indicate plurality? I love that one! I think "Killer Madness" holds the record for apostrophe misuse (as well as childish foul language).

'apostrophe'
I think this thread holds the record for the most grammatical errors.
Stick to cell phones and Verizon service, okay?

What is it (besides sticking to Verizon service)?

Steven J Sobol - 21 Aug 2004 19:32 GMT > it wasn't a spelling correction, dimwit. Technically, it *was*. :) (he didn't spell "than" correctly, now did he!)
Or if you prefer, it was a usage correction.
Either way, it was pointless and stupid.

Kay Anne Darcy - 21 Aug 2004 19:57 GMT Since you ask.. no, technically it was not a spelling correction.
(To indicate a question a question mark is customarily used and not an exclamation point).
Michelle Steiner - 21 Aug 2004 20:22 GMT > Since you ask.. no, technically it was not a spelling correction. > > (To indicate a question a question mark is customarily used and not > an exclamation point). That should be, "To indicate a question, a question mark, not an exclamation point, is customarily used."
However, that is in the passive voice, and you should try to avoid using the passive voice, so try this instead: "Use a question mark, not an exclamation point, to indicate a question."

OK, fine. Usage, not spelling. You never answered my other question. Do you actually enjoy posting spelling/grammer/usage flames with no content relevant to the topic being discussed?

PEOPLE THAT CORRECT SPELLING ARE PETTY AND SMALL > MINDED. NOT VERY ORIGINAL TOO! What you should take into consideration is that while the spelling corrector is probably not winning friends, the fact is that spelling and grammar errors reflect poorly on the OP.
The reality (for me) is that even though I try to quickly proofread before posting, errors still creep in. Hopefully I correct the more blatant errors in my posts.
And you really don't need to SHOUT to get your message across. ;-)
Just MHO, FWIW.
