Mobileweb is verizon-branded WAP service. WAP competitors exist at
various prices (some free), though verizon customer service doesn't
support them. Regardless of your choice of wap provider, verizon will
charge you airtime on top of any monthly wap service charges.
Overall, I find Mobileweb useful for a few reasons. Yahoo's wap portal
is great for its news, location based yellow pages, weather, and
directions. I check yahoo email on the phone, but I usually call in
replies as typing on the keypad is a pain.
I also use mapquest's wap site if I get lost driving in a new
neighborhood.
For me its worth the $6+ per month (especially since it also gives you
100 free SMS/month)

My "New Every 2" comes up next month and I have been looking hard at the
v710. How do you like it?

One thing, though, my learning curve on how to use this is really slow.
Any tips---or where can I go to get dumb questions answered?
TIA,
Dean
