I doubt it. Midi and MP3 are two completely different formats.

You already play midi's on your T730? I though it only plays polyphonic
ringtones.
The Audiovox CDM-9900 plays midi's and you can fake-out the phone into
thinking an mp3 is a midi, by just renaming the file type from .mp3 to
.mid. The 9900 doesn't work with a data cable so you'd need to upload
the file by emailing the data attachment. I've done it on my daughter's
phone. It's cool!
So if you already can play midi's on your T730, try renaming a .mp3 file
to a .mid file and see if it plays.
