Anyone know of an external antenna adapter that works with the Verizon
Wireless Broadband (Novatel Merlin) V620 PC Card?

Hi,

I think that is too new a product to have a commercially listed external
antenna adaptor to connect to a standard Wilson or other antenna. But I
could be mistaken.

I would suggest emailing tech support at Novatel:
support@novatelwireless.com

Or/and try calling  1.888.888.9231 - its their tech support number -  7 days
a week from 8:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. (EDT).

Because the product literature does mention the external antenna connector
socket, they should be able to give the standard adaptor number.

I use a Verizon 5220 card for EV-DO myself. Even though VZW says that card
is AudioVox, actually it is Sierrawireless and it took me a while to find an
antenna adaptor myself !!

Good luck.

FYI, someone just told me that it is possible via Bluetooth if activated,
but only if the two devices are
paired.  He said to use the command "AT+CGMI" (manufacturer) and "AT+CGMM"
(model) via an SPP (Serial Port Profile) session.

This seems perfect if AT commands are supported by all cell phones with
basic Bluetooth capabilities (e.g., Bluetooth headset only); however, it is
still very unclear to me if AT commands are guaranteed to be supported.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks again,
Isaac
