Re Text Messages on T-Mobile Cell Phone

My cell rings all the time with text messages from Sports Teams giving
scores, Lottery Results. Unable to find out where they are coming
from. Can anyone send me text message to advise?

Never, never, never give out your cell number, or e-mail address for that
matter, on these newsgroups. Dangerous, very dangerous. As for your
problem, check that you didn't set up any text alerts. Go to www.vtext.com,
login, and check it out. Otherwise, call up VZW customer service.

This is a Verizon group.

Methinks someone who doesn't like Ray posted his phone number here. Look at the

For that matter, you should delete your email, or edit out your phone
number, if possible with your newsreader.

Check GetAlerts at www.getitnow.vzwshop.com whether you inadvertently signed up to get alerts

If that doesn't work you have to check the headers of the messages: ESPN.Com, FoxSports.Com and CSTV.Com are possibilities for sports scores; no idea about lotteries except for GetItNow.
