I hear the same thing from people when talking on my 4400.  I believe it's an issue of not having a side tone which causes people to raise their volume. By brother in law who is a little hard of hearing actually shouts into his phone & when I talk to him his voice is so over modulated I can't understand most of what he says.
 I have an LG 6000 and many times people tell me to lower my voice when I’m talking on the phone. I’m most times talking very softly. Is there a way to lower my voice pickup mic volume? Thank you.
