Hi,
The other day I was able to dial-up to my ISP fine using my v710 as a
modem on my laptop.   I also decided to try qnc... well using #777 and
qnc/qnc (username/password) does not work.. gives me an authentication
error. (qnc has never worked for me since I've had the phone.. about a week)

When I try to dial up to my ISP... I get the following wierd issue:
Says dialing (Something says 14.4K DATA).. will show a wireless
conenction for about 2 seconds, then drops... of course the computer
says "THere was no answer".

I tried dialing my house number just to see what would happen and it
never even rang... but the phone dropped.

Verizon says everything is fine on their end.
I tried a co-workers V710 today and it did the same thing... thoughts?

Try different modem scripts. SprintPCS works for me.

I use the V710 with Bluetooth and it works
O.K. with 1XRTT albeit at about 90 Kbs/sec.
I was also able to dial up my ISP, but have not
been able to get it to work with QNC at 14.4.
I would guess that if one ordered the Mobile Office
kit with software and cable it would probably
work as usual..etc.. Regards

OK Jake, you've got my interest.  How do you use the v710 with Bluetooth as
a modem?  My laptop has Bluetooth and I bet it's a lot easier than finding
new futuredial drivers (had a t730).

It's pretty easy... turn the bluetooth "find me" on in the phone.. then
go to your computer and look for a new modem... wala...

Somehow I figured Verizon had crippled that part...  Thanks!

Try using an init string of "at$QCMDR=2" for QNC ("at$QCMDR=3" for 1x).

Yeah that doesn't work.. been there tried that... I used the motorola
phone tools to make a connection today and it worked... now I can dial
up using regular windows DUN (even though the connection it made was in
its own software).... however qnc through DUN doesn't work.. but it does
work through MPT.. what on earth.
