I recently upgraded to the vzw razor v3c and I am trying to use it as a
bluetooth modem and dail to the internet.  I used to be able to do this
with a t730 and dc600 adapter using the qnc network.  I got the pc
paired to the phone and dail #777 using 10 digit phone_number@vzw3g.com
pwd vzw and it returns bad user name and/or password. I have called
support and they tell me that the phone isn't capable of connecting
this way first reason was the the v3c does not support this capablitity
and second was because it is a VCAST phone OI can't do it.  That seems
like bs to me b/c it connects and dropps the call as if it is a bad
user name and pwd.  Can anyone shed some light on this..  Qnc doesn't
work either but when I did this with my t730 I had to go and set it
up..  Any help would be fantasic.....

I am getting the same thing. I was told by our business rep that this
function is disabled. Verizon wants you to get a PC Card for $59.95 for
data access. Well I downgraded from the VX6600 to the Razr .... just
because the Bluetooth on the VX6600 sucks. I lost the EVDO capability.
Normally I would have not done this ... but my company foots the note
on my access so they also footed the bill for a PC card too. Bluetooth
is also limited to 115k (serial speed limit) EVDO pushes 500k+ on a
hardwire link eg. USB.

Seems to me ... sooner or later someone might be able to hack the BT
and restore all functionality. I can do File transfers to my phone
(OBEX) .... something that I was not supposed to do with BT. Who knows
maybe we are both doing something wrong.
