Okay, I'll answer my own question. I shot a little bit of video with
the camera on the phone, and noticed it saved as 3GP, not MPEG or AVI.
I did not know there is a file format for cell phone video, 3GP. So,
if you have any videos of your own that you'd like to tote around, you
have to convert them to 3GP. I found software to do do just that.
Now, I'll just have to find out if it will work.

Let us know if it worked, and if it did let us know what software you
used!

It worked. I used a freeware version of AVOne Video Converter. The
software has settings to convert videos to 3GP format, right down to
phone model (I used Motorola 710, since 815 wasn't an option and
they're similar). It said the free version of the software would put a
watermark on it, but it didn't.
I had to reduce the number of characters in the file name in order for
it to work. I know you have to do that for music files to get a title
to show up, but I found the music will still play in sequence even with
that flaw, you just won't see the title. With the video, it won't show
up at all with a long file name. Once I did that, no problem. I tried
converting more than one file, and not all will convert successfully.
Also, one converted, but sliced off the last few seconds, for some
reason. But it will work. I had no real burning need to do it, but
just wanted to test the limits of the phone. I'm sure it will be very
handy for people that want to upload a video of the family, a favorite
band, or whatever, without paying for messaging service. The file
conversion will also make your files much smaller so you can fit more
on your TF card.
