It's that time of year again.  The leaves are coming back to the trees.
Just like last year, the ability of my 5220 to communicate with the 1x
network (800 mhz in this area) goes down.

Yet my VX 4400 is still hanging on (for now).

ugh.

Wish I had line of site to Poor mountain to get 5.8 mhz ISP

AH Poor Mountain.. I think they call it Poor due to it being stuck with
all the antennas in the Area for Roanoke as well..

I used ot have US cellular,  my old phoen broke (out of contract) and
they didnt want to even toss in a free car charger with my phone (I had
been with them for 10 years) just last year I signed up with Cingular.
So far no problems at all except a spot here and there.. Spots my old
phone didnt work in this one works, but in spots that this phone dont
the other did.  But the spots are very very few and are only in remote
parts I harldy go.

My Cingular phone actually works in the basement of the War Memoral
Gym! - a shocker there...
