My Dad just upgraded an old bag phone to the LG4650.
Its a relatively new model .. flip phone with a thumbnail
size speaker at the top.
It came with PRL 50014 installed.
After doing some research, it looks like 50014 came out in 2002?
I updated it with *228 and its still the same version PRL 50014.
Why does Verizon still use PRL 50014 ?
Thanks in advance!

What plan is your dad on? PRLs are plan specific.

50014 is PRE-AC.
From Mountain Wireless page
http://www.mountainwireless.com/prl/oldprl.shtml
Older PRL's:
-50011 from 2000
-50013 not released
-50014 from 2001
-50015 from 12/2001
-50016 not released
The PRL may be a dual mode - Digital/Analog PRL
May be a Single Rate issued PRL
