I am subscribed to text messaging on my Alltel phone.
I can send SMS text messages if I make the receipient another cellphone.
Why can't I send a SMS text messages on it if I make the receipient a
regular e-mail address?

Anyone know if Alltel has any future plans to implement the push to talk
feature such as Nextel and Verizon currently have.

...at least with Cingular.
Apparently they define which areas are GSM (their own or partner's
like T-Mobile) and which are not - TDMA (Cingular or their partner's)
or other, like AMPS, I suppose.

I am thinking of switching carriers.  Can you tell me how the GSM coverage
is in Gainesville & North Florida in general?  Are you satisfied with the
company in general?

I went to my local Alltel office today and they just got in the v60x2 I told
the salesman I wanted to buy it. He told me there system was not set up to
sell it yet. he said Saturday the system would be set up and they could sell
it. I hope it works better than the v60x.

If I change the browser settings to go through WAPTunnels servers, is
there any way that Alltel can charge me?  I'm not currently subscribed
to use the Browser through Alltel, but I do not want to start using
WAPTunnel and get a surprise on my bill.
