Roaming question30 Sep 2003 20:11 GMT4
I have a Nokia 6800 (gsm only) with the ATT National Plan.  Sometimes
my screen will say "T Mobile" instead of ATT.  When the screen says a
provider other than ATT will I be charged roaming fees or does ATT
have aggreements with some of the other providers?

Sync Outlook with Sony Ericcson Phones29 Sep 2003 19:45 GMT1
I currently have a Nokia 8xxx phone and am thinking about upgrading to
a Sony Ericcson phone if it has one feature that I need.
Today I carry a palm pilot to sync my outlook calendar.  Other phones
will let me sync, but none also carry through the "location" field.
ATTWS Coverage in NJ29 Sep 2003 14:26 GMT2
My company has been a long time customer of AT&T Wireless and now I am
considering leaving them for Verizon.
It's very simple, their GPRS network is not ready - please I walk down
5th avenue in NYC and get disconnected.  Verizon just seems to work a

T-mobile ot ATTWS in Long Island28 Sep 2003 21:47 GMT1
Hi, just looking for a suggestion on which provider is better on Long
Island. I travel all over LI and I know both providers have problems,
but one has to be better than the other. Also if At&t deployed 850 mhz
in LI yet, if they have'nt when are they gonna do that.
timezone update broken?28 Sep 2003 04:33 GMT2
I just got a SE T616 and am using it in MA and NH.
If I turn on timezone update the time correctly syncs, but it keeps
resetting the time zone to GMT +0. Being at GMT +500 this is problematic
because it shifts all my synced appointments by that amount.

#121 VoiceInfo fee?27 Sep 2003 04:57 GMT2
The ATTWS web site says that #121 voiceinfo is included with every plan
with no monthly fee (I have a GSM plan.)
Are there per use chargers? Or do I just use airtime?
Thanks,
This is incredible.27 Sep 2003 04:48 GMT16
I recently got ATT mMode (the GSM service). I have been a long time ATT
wireless customer, going all the way back to when SunCom was our
carrier, but have used mMode only recently.
I bought a data cable to attach my phone to my Sony clie. When it

Coverage in Watsonville, CA - cell/pda combo units (Treo and others)26 Sep 2003 19:32 GMT2
I have 2 questions for this group.
First, if anyone in this group is in the Watsonville, CA area, I'd
love to know how well ATT covers the northern foothills, in particular
at the upper end of Green Valley Road.  I've found that most cellular
NEC 515 nightmare26 Sep 2003 19:31 GMT4
The first true Global SM phone released in America, which I'd though
would be very popular and might even poses a threat to other carriers,
has a major flaw.  The antenna system is in the bottom of the phone.
What were they thinking?  After years of putting antennas into the top
