| 3300 User Guide? | 30 Oct 2003 18:24 GMT | 9 |
I purchased a Nokia 3300 last night from the AT&T store. I didn't really think to look in the box, but when I got home I discovered that the only user guide was on a CD in a pdf file. I really don't like this at all. I'd much rather have an actual book. I called Nokia and they ...

| WCDMA | 27 Oct 2003 23:02 GMT | 3 |
How come everytime I hear about WCDMA, its always the flavor that has a max data rate of 384Kbps, instead of the max 2 megabit per second that the technology can allow. I realize the data rates will be much less than this, which is why I asked. A max data rate of 384K probably will ...

<http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3210082.stm> Mobile phone users have a raw deal with call quality, a report says. A more expensive handset does not guarantee better quality either because it depends on your network, say voice quality experts Psytechnics.

I am in Connecticut, where Cingular is the "B" side carrier using TDMA (GSM also available, but not applicable here). I had a Motorola V60T, which is now broken. The Cingular store said, if I brought in an older Cingular phone (my analog StarTac) they would program it to my

| GSM in Los Angeles San Fernando Valley | 26 Oct 2003 13:59 GMT | 6 |
I've been in the ATTWS Northridge store twice recently to inquire about deals to change my TDMA service to GSM. Both times the store people cautioned me that service would NOT be as good on GSM as it is on TDMA, and said they get complaints from new customers about GSM coverage.
