I know everybody has their their wireless horror stories, we have 3
different carriers in our household and by far ATT GSM is the worst
and their service is poor, here is my quick list of things to back
this up.

charged. At no time was it explained to me that if I selected the
$19.99 plan I'd lose my promotion.

Cell-Phone Customers Are No Longer On Hold.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use my own ISP instead of the
carriers GPRS network as an internet provider with either a cell or a palm
type handheld.
For example

If someone kicks the bucket. does the contract live on?

I have a local plan in the Detroit area, and our calling area does stretch
into some of Ohio.
Spent a weekend at a friends wedding, and kept using the phone like normal.

I'm looking at activating a phone with a very basic plan for my mom to use,
as she does not need it except for emergencies and other urgent calls to
home. I was reading a website about CallPlus Global PCS, which apparently
offers cheap prepaid plans on the AT&T TDMA network. It ...

Or did it already do that with its new software that may well put it out
of business, or at least cause it to lose tens of millions of dollars in
sales this holiday season.
Anyone know who ATT's software vendor is? Or how many heads are rolling?

Has anybody tried using (an unlocked) Nokia 6340 multiband phone on
the ATTWS?  I currently have a T62u which will not work in TDMA areas;
it will not log onto the network and will only allow me to make calls
using a credit card (on the "American Roaming Network").  Thanks,

I've been very loyal (and happy) with ATT on their TDMA network;
regardless of what others say, I've traveled all over the US and
always get a signal.  That's just my experience, fwiw.

Well, after a long battle with AT&T and getting them to break my
contract due to a) coverage and b) the lack of support available to
all GSM customers since Nov 1, I have finally one and they have voided

I just want to thank whomever approved WLNP.
There's nothing holding me back now. I have finally taken my number to
another provider. Goodbye ATTWS' stinking CS and good riddance!!!
