ATTWS deals getting *worse*?12 Nov 2003 01:11 GMT7
Funny, but I thought as we approached the portability date that cellular
deals were supposed to get better. But the deals offered on ATTWS's website
are much worse than they were a few weeks ago.
Just three weeks ago they offered 100 bonus anytime minutes on the $29.99
Number Portability Web Sites11 Nov 2003 18:58 GMT1
The Associated Press wrote a series of questions and answers about the number
portability that takes effect on November 24, allowing you to keep your cell
phone number if you switch carriers. It is likely less biased than any such
statements made by any single wireless carrier.
Question about Long Distance11 Nov 2003 16:55 GMT2
Hello, I'm a little bit confused about Long Distance. I'm currently on
local plan $29.99 a month. AT&T website says" Long Distance:
Nationwide long distance included from your applicable service area on
plans $29.99 and higher ". Does this mean I can call to another state
Bad customer experience-- does anybody care?11 Nov 2003 15:59 GMT7
I've been a happy customer of attws for over 4 years. Currently I have 2
digital phones on my account with a monthly bill of $90. I'm trying to
add a third line and possibly move to the family share plan, but thus
far have gotten nothing but grief. I'm about to throw in the towel ...

Any Recommendation for Multi-band Phone?10 Nov 2003 02:24 GMT4
I was interested in switching (due to Number Portability), however my
current contract doesn't expire until June, 2004.  I want a new phone
(currently have 6360).  Due to GSM/TDMA issues and need for nationwide
coverage, I believe a need a multi-mode phone.  ATT is pushing ...
GSM & Gainesville, FL?09 Nov 2003 23:03 GMT1
I know AWS has recently purchased the Gainesville area from US Cellular and
will be switching over after the first of the year.  Does anyone know if the
Gainesville GSM service is expected to be operational then or is it expected
to only be TDMA at first?

Moved - No Coverage - How 2 Cancel ?09 Nov 2003 18:25 GMT9
I've moved to Wake Forest, NC area from Florida. My new house sits down in a
hole. My 8260 TDMA phone says "Extended Area" with one signal bar, but I
can't make a call (from home). Went to the ATTWS phone store and they
suggested GSM, so I borrowed one of their phones. It had No ...

it on National Network Plan?
2) How is TDMA/National Network from Philadelphia to Winston on I-95?
Thanks
Cleveland Ohio AT&T GSM vs. T-Mobile GSM coverage09 Nov 2003 16:53 GMT10
Hi, I realize I recently posted some similar questions, about the GPRS
service, and it seems T-Mo wins on that. Also about T-Mo vs. Cingular
coverage, but I determined Cingular may be a little over my head in price,
especially for the Nokia 3650, only $249 after rebate, and their ...

This is a TDMA phone with the features of a 6200 (speaker, infrared,
voice dial, color screen, etc.). Hopefully it even has the one feature
that the GSM version lacks -- the ability to consistently make, receive,
