I was interested in switching (due to Number Portability), however my
current contract doesn't expire until June, 2004.  I want a new phone
(currently have 6360).  Due to GSM/TDMA issues and need for nationwide
coverage, I believe a need a multi-mode phone.  ATT is pushing ...

I know AWS has recently purchased the Gainesville area from US Cellular and
will be switching over after the first of the year.  Does anyone know if the
Gainesville GSM service is expected to be operational then or is it expected
to only be TDMA at first?
