Has anyone tried using a PALM PDA to connect to mMode/Web via the IR ports

Well here in the Denton, TX area TMobile roaming is once again OFF.
I'm not sure what AT&T is attempting to do by turning it on and off on

AT&T TDMA is showing up as SID  1631 in Southern NH this morning.  Anyone else
in New England (or anywhere else) notice a SID change?  Either they messed up
(by installing a box from their PA system) or they hare moved to wide-area SIDS.
