What will happen to TDMA customers???15 Apr 2004 17:51 GMT8
I am not going to make the move to GSM, mostly because I am happy with
TDMA and AT&T wants to charge me a lot and make me sign a 2 year
contract.  So my question is what is going to happen to the TDMA
customers on month to month?

Reports of a wireless carrier promoting its network via the slogan
"How many bars do you have?"
A response: "I only need enough to get drunk."

I find the following interesting, good ole Robert M who claims to be such an
expert on the operation of ATTWS posted the following on a.c.sprint.pcs in
response to a statement made about him. Note his reply about having never been a
customer of AT&T Wireless, so what makes him such ...

which charger?14 Apr 2004 17:56 GMT5
I just purchased a used Nokia 5160i and noticed that it uses either a 3.6V
NiMH or Li-ion battery.  The charger supplied with the unit is, apparently,
not the charger that Nokia recommends, although I've used it a couple of
times.  I see that there are several chargers recommended ...
Other Issues FAQ14 Apr 2004 01:58 GMT14
This FAQ is in no way authored by any carrier. By reading on, you agree
that you are fully aware of this. I see many questions asked repeatedly
about problems with cellular service, and thought an "Unofficial FAQ"
was in order. I have no association (i.e. never been employed by ...
Cingular14 Apr 2004 00:34 GMT4
Tonight my Nokia 3100B was showing Cingular on the screen. It was
alternating with AT&T wireless. I know that ATTWS is now using Cingular
towers in the Philadelphia area. Anyone else have this happen???
Nokia 6200 and Ringtones13 Apr 2004 02:46 GMT4
I have recently purchased a Nokia 6200 GSM phone (ATTWS).  It is my 1st GSM.
Can I make ringtones from a MP3 or Wave file?  If so, where would I find
detailed instructions how to do this and install them?
Also, are there any other options (txt messaging etc.) for installing

What phones on AT&T's GSM network have the loudest ringtones? I'm asking on
behalf of my sister who bought a Siemens a56i, but can barely her it
ringing, even with the ringer set at full volume. TIA

Go Phone now charging taxes12 Apr 2004 05:12 GMT5
I got a letter in the mail today saying that my Go Phone service rate
plans would be increasing because they are starting to charge taxes,
fees and surcharges like regular postpaid plans.  My number of available
minutes per month will not decrease however.
