| My phone said "Cingular" in the display | 30 Jun 2004 22:46 GMT | 7 |
Yesterday, in a strong AWS GSM area my phone briefly went to a Cingular display on the screen & then went back to AWS in about 5 minutes. I realize that the merger is a long way from being final but might Cingular already be playing with the towers?

| Suppose we'll get rollover minutes? | 28 Jun 2004 20:15 GMT | 26 |
The best of all worlds, when the Cingular acquisition happens, is that my great plan stays in place PLUS, since we'd be Cingular customers, they'd add rollover minutes to the plan.

| GAIT Phone Question | 24 Jun 2004 19:29 GMT | 4 |
As a TDMA user, I'm not up to speed on GSM's alleged benefits. I know that a GSM call cannot be handed off to a TDMA or an Analog tower, so what is the benefit of having a GAIT phone? Is it that you can initiate a call on analog if there is no GSM?
