ATT Launching PTT this year?18 Jun 2004 19:55 GMT2
I figured with the buyout that ATT had put a halt on their PTT
initiative; no sense in spending the money on a solution that may be
incompatible with Cingular's.  But this article mentions that the
EDGE-enabled SE Z500 is coming in Q4 and will have PTT.  AT&T is the
So I finally upgraded...18 Jun 2004 16:36 GMT3
Note: I don't have it yet, am still waiting, opinions on phone and
service to follow in a week or so.
My olde Nokia 8260 tends to shut off by itself (probably just worn,
and it's an internal continuity problem since it mostly seems to
Cellular Security Dialer?16 Jun 2004 21:35 GMT1
I saw this product in a business. It is basically a box with an antenna on top.
Does anybody know where I can buy one that I can program to call my cell phone,
pager and neighbor as opposed to a monitoring company? I would prefer a pre
paid account basis since hopefully it will ...
ROAM Indicator16 Jun 2004 17:11 GMT11
I took a trip with my Nokia 3360 (TDMA) from home in California, to Florida
last week.  It worked fine there, but I was surprised that I never saw ROAM
displayed on the phone.  What gives?
What is best16 Jun 2004 07:34 GMT5
Ok,  I'm getting very confussed.  I currently have 3 ATTws phones
lines.  One is used extensively on Long Island, (Student)with travel
up the east coast.  The other two are Southeast of Boston. They are
all month to month.
V600 not keeping time16 Jun 2004 07:19 GMT1
Anyone have a problem with V600 keeping time?  I just got mine yesterday and
is 8 minutes behind where it should be.  I reset the time...it stays...then
I answered a text message and it's 8 minutes behind again.  The battery is
charged and everything else is fine.  Any suggestions?
AT&T signal in Fairfax, VA16 Jun 2004 07:10 GMT4
Any chance someone might offer observations about ATTWS service in Fairfax
VA? My wife and I are nearing the end of a VZW contract. Verizon was
excellent in Northern New Jersey, but the signal is not nearly as strong
here, and several major local shopping areas are no service areas?
Go phone or pay2go, how to tell?14 Jun 2004 16:24 GMT5
I recently bought a nokia 6185 prepay phone from someone who didnt need it any
more. It still has 30 minutes left of service on it. I would like to keep using
it for my daughter to have. A couple of things. It works fine, receives and
calls out no problem. How do I tell which ...
V600 Speed Dial question13 Jun 2004 02:45 GMT2
New to this phone and have had a little confusion regarding the speed dial
directory.

Replacing Antenna on V6012 Jun 2004 22:39 GMT12
The stub antenna on my Motorola v60 broke off again (they seem pretty
chintzy), and I ordered a replacement on the web.
I'm not sure how to do the replacement though. In looking at the phone, it
looked like I might be able to remove the old one by turning what looks like
V600 Clock Question12 Jun 2004 17:16 GMT2
Just checking.  I recently upgraded to GSM with the V600 phone and noticed
something I hadn't seen on the old TDMA system.
We traveled across a Time zone and the Phone clock adjusted to the new time.
Is this a feature of GSM in general or the V600/GSM combination.

Improved Signal Strength12 Jun 2004 02:57 GMT2
With the new GSM America plan, signal strength is supposed to improve
on the network, even in buildings.  I assume this refers to the use of
the 850mhz band.  In which cities is this possible?  Is Philly on the
list?  Thanks
ATT Cust Service hits new low-called me a liar12 Jun 2004 01:02 GMT3
I can't remember the last time a rep of company called me a liar while trying
to figure out a dispute. But if anyone company was going to do it, ATTWS was a
good bet. It happened when trying to get my 89 year old dad a phone for
Father's day-long story. I can understand people ...
