Grandfathered Plans08 Jul 2004 13:24 GMT3
I have a Digital One Rate Plan for 3 phones (TDMA) with 500 min, unlimited
n/w, and a big home area and no roaming anywhere within that area.
Anyone hear if these older plans will still be honored by Cingular, or are
they going to force us to go with something more current?

I've decided that I will be taking the phone back to Radio Shack
tomorrow after making 2 calls in 2 days to VZ Customer Service... Both
Reps have told me that Canada calling is no longer included in the AC
$39.99 as of May 10th and that they have introduced NAC - North

GAIT (GSM/TDMA) experience in SF Bay Area05 Jul 2004 23:07 GMT1
I've been using the ATTWS TDMA network in the SF Bay Area for about 4
years.  Though the coverage has been excellent, it's deteriorated somewhat
in recent months, with more dropped calls and fast-busy signals than I'm
used to.

Is Analog Service Available to New Customers?04 Jul 2004 04:03 GMT12
I see lots of analog bag phones for sale on eBay.  Aside from using them for
emergency 911 calls, are any carriers still offering analog-only service to
new hookups?
I had analog back in 1996 with what was then Comcast Metrophone in
Sony T61604 Jul 2004 00:01 GMT8
I am on my 2nd phone now.  About every 30-40 seconds while I am on the phone
it will make a ding sound in the background (like a spoon tapping a glass
sound).
Has anyone else experienced this?  I am a GSM user here in Raleigh, NC.
"COME BACK TO AT&T!"02 Jul 2004 07:12 GMT32
This is pure speculation on my part, but doesn't it seem likely that when
the NEW AT&T Wireless company begins operations they will offer aggressive
incentives to all their former customers, who will have been absorbed into
Cingular, to come back home?
UNLIMITED FREE SMS SHORT CODES 02 Jul 2004 02:11 GMT2

The new AT&T Wireless02 Jul 2004 01:42 GMT34
I need someone to explain this to me. AT&T inked a 5 year deal with
Sprint PCS to use the Sprint Wireless PCS network for new service it
will be starting up soon. Sort of like Virgin Mobile does. Could be a
win-win deal.
