ATTWS GSM vs T-Mobile (Jersey Shore)17 Aug 2004 10:58 GMT5
All,
I apologize if the topic above has been discussed before, I've looked on
these forums as well as google but did not find what I need to know.
I'm a T-mobile customer in the Jersey Shore area.  Their signal here used to
suggestions for 3 phone family - low usage17 Aug 2004 05:19 GMT6
We have two Sprint phones - $30/300min and $20/20min,
plus a Virgin Mobile phone - $20 every 90 days.
I used to use my phone a lot more, but not recently,
and the other two phones are not used much - hence the plans -
Samsung X426 reception?17 Aug 2004 04:26 GMT2
How is it?  I know they were having quite a bit of trouble with the
reception several months ago.  The salesman thought it might just have been
a bad batch.

Service in Austin, TX16 Aug 2004 01:04 GMT1
Thinking of moving to AT&T from Sprint.  I'm wondering how the service is in
the Austin area.  I live north (Rundberg/Lamar area) but work south
(downtown area).  Also, out of the free/low cost starter phones which one do
you have experience with or would recommend?  I don't ...

Does anyone know the specifics of what it takes to be an authorized
agent?  And more specifically what it takes to get that status
revoked.

30 days remorse period and minutes used15 Aug 2004 02:31 GMT5
I may be moving to a building where I can't get GSM reception at all.
I was with 2 people using Verizon and they had very good reception.
I'll probably switch to Verizon.  I'll be 15-20 days into my buyer's
remorse period when I make the switch.  I know my minutes will be
T-Mobile Coverage13 Aug 2004 03:34 GMT8
I am on the verge of leaving T-Mobile for ATTWS (GSM).  I am in the Upstate
NY area and T-Mobile coverage is marginal at best, especially where I live.
I have written to T-Mo CS and have sent them emails - not to complain, but
to try and get information as to their plans for the ...
Dialing from out of country12 Aug 2004 23:37 GMT1
I use ATT WS, GSM in the US. I'll be in Europe for a few weeks. Can
someone tell me the protocol for dialing with my existing US cellphone
from a European country. Do I have to dial the country-I'm-in code
(e.g., 353 for Ireland)  first before dialing back to the US? Or
Is TDMA Degrading?11 Aug 2004 14:23 GMT7
I read on howardforum that many people with AT&T TDMA are seeing their
service decrease.  My only use for TDMA is my backup prepaid phone
(JusTalk) which runs on the AT&T TDMA and analog network.
As AT&T switches to GSM, would they actually remove TDMA towers or run

I am looking for phone recommendations that include the following features:

Dropped ATT for Verizon11 Aug 2004 07:59 GMT45
Not that it is a big deal, but I just grew weary of ATT's bad coverage
(GSM in the Washington, DC, area, and southern Maryland suburbs),
atrocious customer service (overseas reps who spoke poor English) and
the snotty and unhelpful attitude of ATT-owned store personnel.
ATT WS changed the Caller ID! Why???11 Aug 2004 05:13 GMT2
A few weeks ago I noticed that when I call somebody from my ATT WS phone it now
shows "Wireless Caller" plus the number. It used to show "Chicago IL" plus the
number. Is this part of joining Cingular? I don't like this a bit. I view it as
a privacy issue- I do not want the party I ...
