| ATT 3G deployment | 11 Aug 2004 00:31 GMT | 7 |
Interesting how leaving out one word in a newspaper article changes things. A news brief in the San Jose Mercury News business section (www.mercurynews.com) on July 21 stated that (quoting) ATT Wireless began offering the first 3G network services in the country

| IM Choice Thoughts | 10 Aug 2004 18:15 GMT | 4 |
Anyone with strong feelings about either of the IM providers (AIM or ICQ) that interface with the Nokia IM phones? I've stayed away from them as a rule and have made it policy for most of my clients but there isn't a decent public web interface for sending SMS like I

| /H. What's this? | 10 Aug 2004 18:09 GMT | 6 |
When I transfer my SIM card from phone to phone (ATTWS T637, V600, 3595 IM), all phone numbers on the SIM show up as something like "Smith, Donal/H" and the H has nothing to do, apparently, with "home." Why does this happen? How to fix it?

| With merger, which one? Cingular or AT&T? | 10 Aug 2004 16:16 GMT | 4 |
With the merger, does either one matter with regard to coverage? Or should I just be looking at pricing and contracts between the two? - Clayton

| It's August | 10 Aug 2004 02:05 GMT | 37 |
Ok -- I am without a contract and am waiting to get a new phone and to switch from TDMA to GSM. When might be a good time to do this considering the impending merger? Previously someone suggested August. I am looking obviously for the best deal possible.

Does AT&T allow you to do this? Such as switching to a national plan for just one month while on vacation?

| GSM in Petoskey, MI?? | 07 Aug 2004 02:05 GMT | 1 |
Anyone know if there is GSM coverage in Northern Lower Michigan, specifically from Traverse City to Petoskey to Mackinac? I use ATTWS using TDMA and get good coverage in those areas but my older Startac phone which I like is starting to fail. Since that area is an

| Stunned by ATT Wireless billing practice | 07 Aug 2004 01:53 GMT | 10 |
I'm in NYC and a recent ATT bill included a $24. charge relating to a call placed from and to NYC. The charge was for "Romer usage while in Buffalo NY". Buffalo is almost 400 miles from NYC. Surely, I thought this was some sort of computer clitch...However, when I called to

| Oops factor: How do I complain to FCC? | 05 Aug 2004 04:42 GMT | 4 |
In the last 10 months, there have been at least 5 errors on my ATT bills. They added extra features that I never asked for, such as international dialing. When I changed to a different plan, they tried to charge me for both my old and new plan. I added a couple of lines

| So how is ATTWS GSM service - really? | 04 Aug 2004 16:55 GMT | 15 |
I am in Upstate NY (Syracuse area) and have been using T-Mobile. I need GSM for international travel and really only want to have one phone and one number. T-Mobile has pretty good international roaming, but marginal (at best) service in the Upstate area. Now that ATTWS has ...

| Upgrade Fee | 04 Aug 2004 15:17 GMT | 21 |
I just bought a new phone for a net cost of $50 (after rebate). I was suprised to find a $15 upgrade fee on my next bill. Customer service told me that it is charged when changing phones. Since I was never told about this at the AT&T store they removed the charge. When was this
