| mMode / Instant Messenger question | 22 Sep 2004 01:48 GMT | 1 |
If I subscribe to mMode and use AOL IM or Yahoo IM through mMode, does that count as "data" transferred, or as SMS / Text Messages sent (.10 cents each)? The website seems a bit ambiguous about that. Thanks.

| What Will Happen to AMPS in 2006? | 21 Sep 2004 04:55 GMT | 6 |
I was talking to a Verizon tech the other day and he told me that the only reason they keep AMPS up is because they are mandated by the FCC to do so until 2006. He seems to think AMPS will die after the mandate ends.

Can this multi-mode TDMA phone be activated for free2go service? I've had no luck with two calls to the ATTWS sales number. After I give them the phone's ESN their system shows that it's a pocketnet phone (Pocketnet is their long dead CDPD datanetwork). The first rep said
