I'm confused23 Dec 2004 06:20 GMT9
...and if this post is in the wrong ng, then forgive me...
I am an ATT&T wireless customer. I had heard of the merger/takeover by
Cingular, but was told (by ATT customer service) that the service would
remain the same.
Does this phone exist?23 Dec 2004 04:21 GMT1
I'm sure I know the answer but I'll ask anyway.  I am looking for a
relatively economical cell phone (preferably AWS/Cingular) that is both a
phone & a Palm Pilot.  I know something like the Treo is very much out of my
price range but I am only looking for those two features (phone ...
When Should I Consider GSM??21 Dec 2004 16:03 GMT11
Right now I have a TDMA phone on ATT WS- a Nokia 3560 and it has no SIM
card or anything likt that. It works good most places although a bit
spotty inside of some buildings. I want to eventually switch to a GSM
tri band phone but do not wish to sacrifice coverage in doing so. When

How is Cingular GSM coverage?20 Dec 2004 04:04 GMT6
I'm currently still using my original ATT Digital One Rate which has an
analog fallback which was rather useful several years ago when ATT's
digital net wasn't as pervasive.    Is Cingular's GSM net sufficiently
flushed out that I won't regret the switch?
AT&T and Cingular Plans and Service19 Dec 2004 18:11 GMT16
Question:  Why are the two still offering different pricing plans? For me
the deal at AT&T is much better but Cingular has cooler/newer technology
phones.
Question:  Is there a difference service-wise whether I choose AT&T or
Unlocked Phones19 Dec 2004 03:16 GMT1
I'm interested in buying a new phone - unlocked Moto V620, probably on eBay,
but also available elsewhere.
I current phone is a Moto T720 GSM on AT&T and use the mMode function for
text messaging, internet, etc.
How to transfer Sevice to New Cell?19 Dec 2004 00:44 GMT14
Hello All.  Has any one insight on the following.  I have a old Motorala V60
Cell phone that is damaged.  I see a bunch of them and newer models offered
on EBay.  My question is this.  If I buy a replacement AT&T Wireless Cell
Phone, how would I transfer service to the new phone. ...

Hi, I am an ATTWS customer in NC, one of the ones it has been announced is
being 'sold' to Suncom.  I have an ATT plan that I like....the first plan in
7 years of having a cell that I feel meets mey needs.  Does anyone know
exactly what the Suncom deal is?  Can I keep the ...
Cell Phone - Do Not Call list **Information Alert**16 Dec 2004 11:21 GMT122
In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to
telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls on
cell phones.  Call this number from your cell phone 888-382-1222.
It is the national Do Not Call list.  It blocks your number for 5 years.
Siemens C61 locked to ATTWS query16 Dec 2004 07:59 GMT3
Can this brand new phone be used on a Cingular plan?

Looking for a "normal" ring for my Samsung e316.15 Dec 2004 14:13 GMT2
I recently switched cellular service and ended up with phone that is quite a
bit fancier that my previous one. This Samsung e316 came with loads of "ring
tones" but all seem to be music. I find phones that play songs rather than a
standard ring to be quite annoying, especially in a ...
EDGE in Northern New Jersey??14 Dec 2004 21:32 GMT3
I am an ATTWS customer, and I recently upgraded to a Nokia 6620
smartphone, which supports EDGE.  I simultaneously upgraded to the
unlimited data plan for laptops (70 something dollars per month.)
Unfortunately, I don't seem to be getting anywhere near EDGE speeds in
Is there a normal "ring" built in for my Samsung e316?14 Dec 2004 17:43 GMT1
I recently switched cellular carriers to AT&T/Cingular and upgraded my
phone. I now have a Samsung e316. It comes with a bunch of "ringtones" and
as far as I can tell they are all music.  I do have the USB data cable for
the phone and the (rather clumsy) EasyGmrs software from ...
Push to Talk with merger?14 Dec 2004 10:26 GMT3
I have been away from this group for a number of months so, if this has been
asked, ad nauseum, please forgive me.
But, are there any rumblings about a Push to Talk option with the merged
companies?
