Treo 650 ATTWS users?27 Feb 2005 10:14 GMT2
Considering the Nokia 6620 or the Treo.  Seems the Treo 650 is available,
$400 for those interested.  Anyone using one?
New phones24 Feb 2005 14:33 GMT3
Someone posted a while back saying that AT&T customers could no longer buy
new phones unless they migrated to Cingular.  I found this to be untrue.
Yesterday I ordered two new Motorola V180's for my kids.  I did this without
extending or changing our contract.  We have the  ...
ATTWS Voicemail Tip23 Feb 2005 19:48 GMT3
This may be undocumented, but I learned a long time ago from and AT&T CSR
that you can stop playing a message in mid-stream, without having to listen
to the entire message.  We've all had to listen to messages that never
seemed to end.
What is this sh*t on my bill?22 Feb 2005 15:40 GMT3
Upon emination of my wife's bill for last month, I found 4 charges for
$1.99 each for "messages received" under the "Message, Content &
Application Charges". I did not find this on my own bill. When I called
Cingular, the CSR could not explain anything about it. He stated it
Prepaid Phone22 Feb 2005 13:46 GMT5
My son has a prepaid AT&T phone. His month ran out today. We cannot
reach http://www.attws.com to renew. Suncom took over for AT&T in my
area, but they have not done so yet. I cannot find a place on
http://www.cingular.com to renew his service. Anybody know?
Dialing '0' on a Mobile22 Feb 2005 13:41 GMT8
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried dialing '0' on their mobile phone?
By habit, I accidentally dialed '0' to check my minuted (it works like
that in Canada, where 0 connects you to your company's operator system)
and got the message "Welcome to Verizon".  However, I dialed as a

Any Current Customer Discounts?20 Feb 2005 02:48 GMT2
Am I correct in what I understood from calling Cingular that there are
no discounts/rebates etc. for being an existing customer (on ATTWS), if
I buy a new phone and go to a new plan?
I ask since that is very different from ATTWS where there were offers
whew! a geek, but no gen-Y'er (ring tones)18 Feb 2005 04:14 GMT2
I've recently made the transition from older, utilitarian phones like
the T39 (wow, what a great phone!) to newer, utilitarian phones
(currently a 6820).
Little did I know how out of it I am!
Is Anyone Here?15 Feb 2005 15:35 GMT14
I have seen no new posts in the past couple of days.
Is this NG still active, or has everything moved to the Cingular NG now?
Why no Nokia 6230 on west coast?11 Feb 2005 22:14 GMT7
They sell the Nokia 6230 on the east coast, but not on the west coast.  Does
anyone know why?
Someone at the cingular store in my area said it was because they had
problems with ENS on that phone.  Does that mean they are willing to sell a

Question on SIM08 Feb 2005 03:15 GMT6
I have an older blue AT&T SIM for a couple of years, I have seen posts refer
to older SIMs and the Newer 64 SIMs also mentioned is that the Newer SIM
helps to switch to Cingular for roaming sooner/better or whatever.
Question: Can anyone clarify also if true that their are ...
naive cingular question; i'm new to attws07 Feb 2005 13:10 GMT4
I am a brand new attws customer (1 week; don't ask--long story).
Cingular wants $18/line to "upgrade" me to Cingular. I just paid a
startup fee to attws last week! They're the same company, right?
Here's my real question. I have a 2-year contract with attws. Certainly
Can someone help me! Cingular not living up to deal!05 Feb 2005 13:32 GMT69
Last January I signed up with an ATTws plan that stated if I continued to be
a customer in good standing, concurrent to my two year plan. I would get a
'free phone' every year on the anniversary, January 5. I signed up all four
phones, I figured even if they are the cheapest ...
