I have not tried sending to another phone, just email...

Post-merger Cingular still has two separate networks, the old ATTWS

I just bought a new Razr V3 (black) on ebay. When I put my sim card in
and turned it on the display said 'AT&T Wireless.' I am currently a
Cingular user. So, I am a little puzzled as to why the display doesn't
say Cingular.

Today I got a surprise.  Outgoing text messaging stopped working on
our phones. I called customer service and was told that as part of the
ongoing merger of the ATTWS and Cingular networks, the SMS number has
changed.  Surprise!

I never had the need to use "call forwarding",  but I thought it was one of
our free services bundled in! I found out its $.35 per minute! Does anyone
still have the wording of the contracts we signed, I have a plan that
offered 1000 minutes local per month with unlimited mob2mob ...

What is the best way to unlock this phone. I went to the XDA-DEVELOPERS site
and got the following prodecure;
 1.. Create a backup of your entire device on SD-card using SD-backup (in
'Programs')

We have an older Nokia (3560) TDMA phone which has now been inactivated and
is used by my son as a play phone.  When Cingular absorbed ATTWS, the
Network tag changed from ATTWS to Cingular.  Now I notice that the phone is
cycling between Cingular and Roam, in an area that should ...

I have a Nokia 5160 for which I had AT&T Wirelss service at one time.  Can I get service/coverage on this phone, and if so, how/from whom?  Thanks
