Sony Vaio SZ series laptop and GSM SIM31 May 2007 03:42 GMT1
I am looking to purchase a Sony Vaio SZ series laptop, which has a SIM
card slot and a built-in EDGE modem.
The machine comes with a Cingular SIM card for a trial period, so I
assume that the machine is SIM-locked to Cingular, but for the
European Roaming Plans30 May 2007 23:53 GMT7
I'm going to Europe this summer. Usually, if I spend most of my time in
one country, I buy a prepaid SIM there and just put up with roaming
charges upwards of 1.00 Euro/min. This time, I'm going to be spending a
few weeks in both The Netherlands and Germany with a few days in
Report on Cancun and ATT/Cingular27 May 2007 02:21 GMT17
I had posted here several weeks ago about coverage in Cancun, Mexico,
where we were taking a trip.  I have just returned from a lovely trip
there and can report good feedback.
The bottom line is that I didn't have to use my GPRS/EDGE card at all,

Motorola cell phones FAQ22 May 2007 02:21 GMT2

Waiting For GPS18 May 2007 19:45 GMT15
Been switching back and forth between a Moto MPX220 and a Treo for a long
time. I'm overdue for an upgrade, but I'm waiting for a phone with
integrated GPS. Real GPS, not the cell tower GPS lite stuff. Who thinks the
provider is going to try to squeeze a usage fee out of ...
Put a "Home" entry in your phone book14 May 2007 01:22 GMT43
Yesterday I was driving down a street near my house and I saw a cell
phone in front of me at an intersection I had just stopped at. I jumped
out and retrieved it.
Unfortunately the owner did not have any entry in the phone book for

Transfer number to another phone06 May 2007 00:32 GMT4
I have a Nokia 5160 about to give up the ghost. Bought a Nokia 5160 at a
yard sale 4 years ago and held on to it as a backup. Both 5160's have
the At&T logos on the front of the phone. Will AT&T activate the
replacement?

Legacy ATTWS Sim card, does the type matter?03 May 2007 21:43 GMT1
Hi I have an unlocked phone and still on the legacy ATTWS charter
plan.  The SIM I'm using is from 2002 and I believe is considered the
Old kind.  I purchased a "newer" style SIM card 2 years ago and was
wondering if I would notice a difference in service if I called ATT
ATTWS Off-Peak 8PM "For Life"03 May 2007 21:36 GMT4
A number of years ago, we obtained three (then) ATTWS TDMA accounts under
AT&T's "Regional Advantage" plan (or something like that), which basically
allowed for roam-charge free use in a given regional area of the US
(typically 10 to 15 states), no long distance, no charge for ...
