Pre-Paid accounts with Internet GPRS?30 Jun 2004 21:14 GMT14
I have found a need for mobile internet but don't want to commit to a
contract just yet so I was wandering if any Pre-Paid accounts offer
Internet GPRS. I have a pre-paid Vodafone red sim but they are only
limited to WAP browsing.
T610 Vodafone Live! Whats this garbage?30 Jun 2004 19:00 GMT25
Just purchased a SE T610 from Vodafone last week and didn't realise that its
been
butchered with Vodafone Icons and crap... Talk about misleading....
Anyway, I know this has been discussed to death on all the forums but I
Buying 6230 through Ebay?30 Jun 2004 12:40 GMT4
I've been thinking of purchasing the 6230 outright:

The positive is that this is at least $100 cheaper than any shop in
Australia. The negative is that it comes from Hong Kong and as ...
Samsung E70030 Jun 2004 10:14 GMT2
I've recently bought a Samsung E700. I have been really happy with it so
far, however, this last week it has been turning itself off during calls for
no apparent reason. It doesn't matter if the battery is fully charged or
near empty.

International Roaming Revisited29 Jun 2004 21:21 GMT30
Just thought I'd share my experience with international roaming.
The missus flew out to the US yesterday. At 5am this morning, she SMSes
me from LAX telling me she arrived. Half awake, I SMS her back and she
received the text. I then rang her. After I pressed send, I heard the
suggestions for reading aus.comms.mobile29 Jun 2004 08:40 GMT5
I am finding this newsgroup full of valuable information that you
don't get from the telcos.
Currently I am reading the group in groups.google.com but it seems the
messages are delayed by a good few hours.

are these the best mobile to mobile and mobile to landline deals??29 Jun 2004 02:55 GMT32
In my quest to find the best mobile deals I have come across a system
which charges US5 cents per 30 seconds to Australian land lines and
US11 cents
per 30 seconds to Australian mobiles. There are cheap international
Crossed SMS?29 Jun 2004 02:53 GMT8
I just replied to an SMS my sister sent me, and I got a reply to my
SMS from an unknown number.  I rang my sister and she never got the SMS,
even though my outbox indicates I sent it to her.  Is there such a thing
as a "crossed" SMS, whereby SMSs get sent to the wrong number by the
Orange upgrades28 Jun 2004 14:07 GMT10
I just got my Orange bill for the month, which included a notice that
Orange are spending $35 million to upgrade over 50% of their base stations
between June and August to prevent congestion.  Does anyone know what
they're actually doing to the base stations?  ie. adding more ...
Using line 1 and 2 to separate work and personal calls on bill?28 Jun 2004 09:31 GMT6
Excuse my ignorance if this has been explained before...
I'm hoping to sparate my personal and work calls on my phone bill and
thought that "line1" and "line2" could be used to do this - much like I use
multiple-number service on my land line.
Sony Ericsson T610 Vs T63028 Jun 2004 08:43 GMT18
All,
What am I really getting if I buy a 630 over a 610?
I need to upgrade my R520m and there are good deals on the 610 available
now.
Best price for a Nokia 6230?27 Jun 2004 15:45 GMT15
After checking the responses to my last post searching for a decent
Bluetooth-enabled phone, I'm leaning towards the Nokia 6230
http://nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,48196,00.html, despite mixed reviews. The
7610 http://nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,8764,58346,00.html looks fantastic , but
