Friend of mine is considering joining up with them next week,  someone from
Orange told her they don't use towers for their network,  what the f.ck do
they use? and is the coverage in the Eastern Suburbs any good?
Is it CDMA or GSM??

Are Three on a coverage rampage at the moment?  They've just put up
two new base stations not far from my place, and there is now VERY
little distance between each of the base stations in the area.  I say
good on them, as they're needed, but how the hell can they make money

Well with the 10% discount on TV subscription it looks reasonable and with
the Sony Ericsson T630 and a Bluetooth supertooth car kit for free on the
$30 plan I am tempted.
Does anyone have any dealings etc with Austar mobile ?

I'm Looking at moving across to the Orange Network from Telstra.
Can anyone comment on the coverage in the 2753 areacode region.
Call cost for me would work out around $110 per month cheeper over my 5
services, anyone care to comment on thier dealings with Orange ( coverage,

I ordered 5 ISIM accounts and they seem to have been placed "on hold" as in
not being delivered.
It said to contact ISIM for further details which I am.
So they obviously must have an account limit or something but I couldn't see

I'd just like to clarify a few issues about locks on prepaid handsets.  It
appears that:
1) Telstra handsets are network locked only
2) Optus ones are unclear - some seem to be network locked, others are sim

It's been more than a week since I ported from Virgin to iSim, and I still
cannot send SMS. My SMSCs are set correctly: I checked with a friend who is
on Optus.

Does anyone know why, when Telstra does or is going to do an upgrade of
their mobile network it's such a big thing, & is always reported about in
the newspaper or on the radio news, (well at least it is in the
Newcastle-Hunter area)?

year to 5.7 million. Optus' subscriber base was approximately 4.89 million
in the June 2003 quarter. Almost 170,000 subscribers were added in the last
quarter, allowing Optus to grow at 3 times the industry ...
