Anyone explain why an unlocked phone WONT accept GPRS OR WAP settings for another network? is a phone call the to the Ombudsman or consumer affairs on the cards? It was sold as unlocked. but wont change any settings.

After porting from Telstra, my mobile white-pages listing was removed. Now Sensis (WP publishers) say that "residential" (non-business) customers must go through the phone provider. I spoke to a woman who seemed knowledgable.

A relative is after a decent deal for a very low usage phone and spotted the Orange $4 monthly plan with $0 Nokia 3105 and calls charged at 18c per 30 secs. They're also throwing in a handsfree kit for online orders and offer $100 cashback for trade-in of any working Nokia.

I'm visiting Singapore (stop over), the UK and US soon, and want a mobile. At present I have a Nokia 8210 - so it'll work in the UK and ?Singapore. Is it best to buy a triband phone in Australia (duty free?), Singapore, UK or wait till I go to the US?

I've forgotten the phone security code on my Ericsson. Can anybody recommend a good repair joint in Melbourne that can unlock it? Have visited Accord in Spencer St a few times but always walked out in disgust at the huge queue of people waiting for service.
