Daniel Juhn gets his.11 Oct 2004 11:08 GMT12
Daniel Juhn is the prick who sold me the barred (in UK) SE P800 on e-bay.
Posted here previously about this.
He suggested to me that I try to re-sell on e-bay (knowing that it is
barred);  shows the sort of low life scum that he is.
Optus Port-Out Fee for Business customers11 Oct 2004 09:55 GMT2
Received a letter from Optus stating that from 01/11/2004 Optus
Business customers will be charged a port-out fee of $8.80 when
porting to "another carrier".
This would suggest that porting to an Optus Service Provider does not

Nokia 7250i09 Oct 2004 17:48 GMT3
Wondering if some wizard out there knows whether I can do the following on
this handset:
1. totally remove the operator logo (whether an imported one, or just the
word Telstra itself); and
Phone not holding charge09 Oct 2004 08:18 GMT8
My phone recently stopped holding charge. When not in use it lasts maybe
a couple of hours, and even when turned fully off it's dead by the next
morning.
Presuming just the battery had had it, I replaced it, (an authentic
Telstra SIM09 Oct 2004 02:31 GMT9
What are the options for a Telstra SIM for very infrequent use?
1) Prepaid card with long or no expiry of credits
2) $0 or low $/month post-paid
Cheap calls after 9pm etc would be a bonus but obviously would be unlikely

Puppetry of the Political Penis08 Oct 2004 13:18 GMT3
Put Families First last. Don't vote for Greens if you don't like Labor as
Greens are giving primary preferences to Labor in almost all electorates...
Go to "http://www.federal-election.net" for a chaser-ish spin.

New Telstra Coverage Maps08 Oct 2004 07:39 GMT46
Telstra have released new GSM and CDMA coverage maps. Bit disappointed, as
they only have a state spread, and a smaller national one, no metro one. I
guess more and more people are using the online tools. Still they are a much
better map than the abominations Optus and Voda have ...

Cell Names05 Oct 2004 14:33 GMT11
Just wondering if the 'Cell Names' that appear on some phones, using the GSM
network, are the same names that appear on a bill?
For example, go Telstra near the south end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and
the phone will say "Coathanger". Yet on the bill it just says 'Sydney CBD'.
