Telstra CDMA roaming to US?14 Nov 2004 11:54 GMT22
Anyone know if Telstra do CDMA/AMPS roaming to any US carriers,
particularly Verizon? Telstra support wasn't too sure what I was on
about and thought I meant GSM roaming, in which case I needed to ensure
I have a tri-band phone. :)
New site with Mobile net work listings14 Nov 2004 08:00 GMT2
Hi i'm new to this newsboard.
Seen a very interesting site which lists mobile phone networks around the
world. Assume the site is for the traveller as it aapears to show a series
of travel related links. http://www.marshfram.com.  Could be useful if you
0448/0449 Telstra Allocation?14 Nov 2004 07:39 GMT22
Michael recently stated "Telstra already have 0448 / 0449 allocated to
them."
yet they told me they do not.  Anyone know the facts?
Using bluetooth headset as audio gateway14 Nov 2004 05:01 GMT6
Anyone got a link that will explain how I can use a Bluetooth headset (SE
HBH-35) as an audio gateway from my PC with Belkin USB Dongle.
Bluetooth is installed and works fine with my phone and PDA, but I can't get
it to work to supply an audio stream. Ideas anyone?
Kmart 15% off until Sat14 Nov 2004 01:20 GMT4
Good time to stock up. The Motorola C201 on Telstra Prepaidplus is currently
$49, with $10 credit plus a bonus $100 credit you get next January. So this
is quite good value when the $49 is reduced by another 15%.
How to retrieve a message from Telstra Messagebank from Overseas13 Nov 2004 14:22 GMT8
This is mainly for my own benefit should I forget and have to search
the newsgroups. :-)
I couldn't find this info on the Telstra site or in past discussion in
newsgroups (using Google).  I am visiting the US and needed to
Optus contact #12 Nov 2004 11:44 GMT2
I have read previously in here about a number in Optus to ring for customers
to call when are feel they are getting a raw deal and contemplating jumping
ship to another carrier.
Anyone recall what the number is?.
Virgin Mobile $25 'mates' referral credit12 Nov 2004 09:48 GMT3
"Score a bonus $25 credit just by knowing someone on Virgin Mobile when you
join.
- You must quote the mobile number of the Virgin Mobile mate when connecting
for credit to be applied.
Dialling unecessary prefixes11 Nov 2004 12:46 GMT3
This might be a dumb question, but if I call a number stored in my phone
as "+61414123456", the network isn't going to be so stupid as to think
I'm calling international and charge me more, is it?
As opposed to having the number stored as 0414123456, of course.

Revtel11 Nov 2004 10:30 GMT21
I noticed this site referred to in another post, so I decided to have the
look: www.revtel.com.au
Obviously they are taking the no-frills thing to the max, but if you can go
past the con's, this has the potential to be a very cost effective prepaid
Nokia 5385 phonebook bug11 Nov 2004 08:41 GMT1
Thought I'd post back, for those interested...
My 6385 was replaced when put in for software upgrade under warranty,
because of a signal problem (which I didn't evenn know about, but it does
seem better now...).
Pls recommend - Which Nokia?11 Nov 2004 05:50 GMT7
Looking to get a new handset.  I only want Nokia.  It needs to be the
"business" model, very small, very long battery life, have bluetooth.
Definately NOT interested in any other functions such as camera, colours,
games etc etc.
O2 Xda IIs11 Nov 2004 01:12 GMT1
Has anyone tried used the XDA IIs yet? Just wondering how much of a strain
using its Wi-Fi component puts on the battery. Loved the previous model but
sub-par battery life didn't suit my needs.
