HI from the UK. I plan to stay in Melbourne soon. If I use my Samsung C100 with a Telstra prepaid SIM card it will cost me about 80c a min to call the UK I've been told (27p) is this correct ? Any better cheaper options I should know about ?

So, it seems for some reason the US and Canadian GSM1900/PCS networks all have a non-standard CCC-NNN network code and then a second code in the normal CCC-NN format (and often lots of them instead of a single one per network).

what is the bandwith and type of the cdma networks in australia? I was wanting to use a phone purchased overseas that does AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / CDMA 1900 would it work??? many thanks

It's 0830 and my CDMA phone still hasn't adjusted to daylight saving time. I tried to change it manually but it just changed right back to 0730. This, I think, is poor service. Steve = : ^ \

Over the last cpl of days, Ive been seeing something different with my Optus phones enabled for GPRS. The "GPRS signal strength bar" shows that GPRS is disconnected. This happens every now and again, and a restart of the phone shows the GPRS
