Prepaid SIM for SMS01 Apr 2005 00:05 GMT53
Does anyone have any recommendations for a prepaid SIM deal with a cheap
SMS option? I intend to use the SIM for SMS only, connected to a
computer to send and receive notifications and basic commands for a
database.

'HomeCap' - new Optus fixed-line plan
It's unclear whether it's truly a cap (ie an upper limit), or whether
the $39 is actually a fixed fee in exchange for $120 value of calls.
Worth noting that the minimum spend per month is actually $68.95, once
"Hello, I'm John Howard, I've taken the unusual step of contacting you..."31 Mar 2005 05:42 GMT53
Whilst the inquiry might have cleared the Liberal Party of breaching the
Telecommunications Act, there remains the question of the various
Privacy Acts, the Copyright Act and anti-spamming laws.
Was the investigation too limited in its brief?
Need new CDMA phone advice31 Mar 2005 04:06 GMT36
I'm currently on the Orange CDMA network and have no contract. My Nokia 2280
is dying ad I want to replace it. I can maintain my current service with
Orange, but sign a 24 mth. contract, and get an LG HD 6000 or Nokia 6225 for
'free'. Are there other viable options? I'm an ...

After a new mobile and PDA. Combine or separate?30 Mar 2005 00:56 GMT5
I have a Palm Vx and Nokia 8210. Both are nearing the end of their life
(the power button doesn't work on the palm and the digitizer is starting
to give problems, the battery is stuffed on the Nokia and it seems to be
dropping out a lot).

Receiving photos on mobile phones28 Mar 2005 14:09 GMT3
Is receiving photos on mobile phones reliant only upon the phone handset
being capable of doing so?  Or does the mobile account have to be set up
to permit pictures to be sent to it?

SMS received as fax25 Mar 2005 11:34 GMT1

"Where the fixed phone service is set up to receive faxes at the time the
message is delivered, the text message is received as a fax."
