Do you know if Blackberry handsets are locked to the carriers that sell
them?
Or can I buy a handset outright from the cheapest retailer (say Vodafone)
and then get a sim with blackberry service from a different carrier (say

I recently bought 2 Nokia 6230's for my wife and I and have been unable to
log on to Yahoo Messenger over GPRS. On all previous phones I have had, you
just go to mm.yahoo.com and you can log in. It works out much cheaper than
using the sms version. When I try to do it on the 6230's ...

Hi All, have bought a 2nd hand lap top off a buddy of mine for great price.
Problem is he is serving in the Army (Left yesterday for overseas) and I
can't contact him for 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! The lap top is running windows
2000 but has Administrator privileges or something like that ...

I saw some guys on a cherry picker yesterday replacing the CDMA antennas
on the Telstra tower near Cadbuy's in Ringwood (Vic).  I think someone in
the newsgroup once said that they're doing this because the new antennas
are mid range antennas.  Why can't they simply use the exisitng ...
