WARNING DON'T USE TE$TRA FOR GPRS INTERNET I purchased a wireless GPRS card for my laptop. I went to virgin.com.au, then qantas.com.au and booked at flight. I visited no other sites. I was online for 45 minutes.

Does Telstra 3G seamlessly roam to 2G? I mean, if I'm in an area only with GSM and drive into a 3G area will my phone automatically switch across to the 3G without me noticing? What about the opposite?

Do I need to contact Optus and ask them to enable GPRS for my phone, or do I enable it msyelf? The phone was supplied by Optus during a contract upgrade so it's pre-programmed with the right-hand quick-dial icon as 'ZOO' but I keep getting messages saying a GPRS connection can't be ...

Just picked up one of these, locked to Optus. Does anyone have any experience with these phones when it comes to unlocking? I can fork over $80 to Optus of course, but that seems an excessive amount IMO.
