I currently have a Nokia 6100 which is a work supplied phone, on Telstra
GSM. I sent a MMS message with a midi file attached from my own Telstra
CDMA service.
I can see where the message "almost" arrives on the GSM phone. The

Is there any technical reason why I can't dial a 1-902
premium number from a pre-paid Vodafone mobile?
The phone just drops the call if I try.

I understand that if you have a current 3G mobile, they operate in 3G
mode and roam onto GSM.
Which frequency bands are they generally capable of operating on?

Three have recently relaxed the restrictions on living and working in a
three broadband area to buy from them. I'm considering them for my mum,
but I'd like to "try before I buy" as I don't want to sign up to a
contract and find that the service is quite poor.

thinkin of buyin one, can you throw some opinions my way. Can I fit a full
size MMC card in to transfer files folders mp3 etc to another pc ....any
opinions appreciated...BTW I can get a new one for $279 is this

Bought a basic CDMA Nokia 2125 ($89) as GSM where I live is
non-existent or dreadful.
It works, just... One bar signal, and tends to drop out.

It has just occured to me that WAP is more like "teletext on your mobile"
than "the internet on your mobile".
