I am with Telstra GSM and am looking to get a Dual Mode (WCDMA/GSM) quad band phone. This is so I can use it in Japan/Korea as well as everywhere else in the world (GSM). Any phone recommendations out there?

My mate was backing up his Nokia phone (not sure of the model) using a program I have never seen. I asked if he could back up my phone also in case it ever gets lost. When he did it the computer said the connection 2 my phone is lost.

I remember seeing in one of the Optus mobile newsletters a couple of years ago Optus had a service that would recognize songs - it was a number you could call up and play the audio down the line. Anyone know the details on this?

If im with say telstra, and i want to port my number to somebody else on another carrier. Can i authorise the port(by signing release forms?) and the other party sign an application form? or does the new lessee need to be the lessee of the number to be ported as well?
