Nokia 2280 Battery Life12 Jan 2006 04:33 GMT13
My 2280 seems to be somewhat lacking on endurance when it comes to its
battery standby time. The blurb when I got the phone said over 200 hours
SB time. Yet, increasingly, the battery's near flat after 2, maybe 3
days of sitting there, doing nothing.

Musical (carrier) ring tone08 Jan 2006 12:39 GMT6

song rather than the normal Thai ring tone. The first time I called it
was a little off putting, it sounded like MOH!!

your phone bill... it probably cost you $3.50. I got two, and sure enough my
bill arrived today including $7.00 of charges for it, so ...

SMS interception - how?04 Jan 2006 09:06 GMT39
Anyone else wondering how exactly the police are intercepting SMSs that
incite racial violence? They've just layed charges of "using a carriage
service to menace, harass or cause offence" against a Sydney man.
The possibilities are:

Do Nokia 6822's work here in Australia?02 Jan 2006 10:31 GMT8
A friend of mine has lent me a new Nokia 6822 to try out. It's great, except
that when I put the SIM from my normal phone in the 6822, it's saying there
is no coverage!
I tried using the menus to manually select a carrier, and after doing a
