One of the main reasons for deciding to go NextG was to have "essential"
website access, such as personal bank account, weather forecast and
radar, Yellow and White Pages and one or two other sites that would be

Got an "anonymous" call on the NextG (Samsung A501). Went to answer,
caller hung up. A few mins. later, message bank alert. Check message.
Telstra annoucing that my new "video message bank" is ready to use. The
recorded message tells me to "press 1 to set up video message bank".

3 Australia claim they cannot unlock their mobile phones.
This is *BULLSHIT* because they can.  They choose *NOT* to unlock them,
which is totally different to saying they cannot!

Currently looking at going to Vietnam and the UK, sick of paying exorbitant
roaming costs from Vodafone and nearly as exorbitant roaming from Telstra.
All advice appreciated.

hard limit for the foxtel service.

Anyone else played with Telstra EDGE yet, and if so, in what parts of the
country?
I've definitely confirmed it in Sydney and Melbourne - but apparently most
of the rest of the network is up and running with it.

Just wondering what might be the best plan for a BYO cap. I think Ill have
